Biography
Christa Sumwalt has over 125 jury trials under her belt between civil personal injury cases, 10 years of experience as a prosecutor in Mecklenburg County, and many years of criminal defense work. At The Sumwalt Group, Christa handles workers' compensation and civil cases. She is also Of Counsel at Ascension Law, where she runs a criminal defense practice. Between her work as a multifaceted trial lawyer, Christa has finished a Full Ironman competition, 10 Half-Ironman Competition, several marathons and many other half-marathons that, unfortunately, she has lost count of.
